1:24 Mercedes Benz SL300 Gullwing

€52.99

Article number: 300024338 Product: 1:24 Mercedes Benz SL300 Gullwing The Mercedes-Benz 300SL joins the 1/24 Sports Car Series as it is considered an all-time classic in the automotive world. The real car began life as a prototype for the German motor giant’s works racing team, taking part in international races, and in 1954 a production version debuted at the International Motor Show in New York. Despite nominal road car status the 300SL was still a very racy vehicle and proved popular, particularly in the United States. It possessed a 3-liter engine (hence the 300 in its name), and a highly lightweight body (SL stands for Sport Leicht, lit. "light sports") with striking gull wing doors. 1,400 cars were produced by the end of its production run in May 1957. The Tamiya model kit captures the real life subject down to the working Gull-Wing doors and complex tubular space frame. Productdetails: - This is a 1/24 Scale plastic model assembly kit. - The elegant form of this classic is breathtakingly captured by the model, and includes opening engine hood and gull wing doors. The doors can be locked in open position using a small strut. - Opening the hood reveals the faithful depiction of the engine. Hood can also be locked in open position. - The complex tubular space frame – one of the signature points of the car – is elegant recreated. - Nylon mesh is included to recreate the front air intake - Numerous metal-plated parts recreate side bars, bumpers and more. - Comes with masking stickers for use when painting the model. - Metal transfers are included in the kit to depict mirror surfaces and emblems. - Features newly-designed tire parts.

€15.99

Article number: 300035020 Product: 1/35 WWII Sdkfz.251/1 Halbk. Hanomag (5) In 1938, the German Army decided to develop an armoured personnel carrier on the basis of the 3-ton half track (HL-KL-9p). Hanomag Hannoversch Machinenbau (AG) in Hannover was ordered to develop the running gear and Bussing-NAG in Berlin was to develop the superstructure to be armoured. Design work was hastened on the model of existing armoured cars and a prototype was completed at the end of 1938. The Germans tested the prototype in the Kumahsdorf Proving Ground and accepted it for mass production. Thus was born the Armoured Personnel Carrier Hanomag Sdkfz 251/1 which, we may safely say, was a synonym for the German mechanized corps that showed activity in all battlefields throughout the war.

€26.99

Article number: 300032584 Product: 1:48 Ger. Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf. H Late Prod. The Panzer IV was one of the most feared weapons in WWII, and would serve German forces throughout the conflict in the guise of a number of variants. The Ausf.H variant itself featured early, middle and late production types, all of which were armed with a L/48 75mm gun and featured "Schürzen" armor side skirts for greater protection. Late production Panzer IVs were identifiable by their tracks: they lacked a center guide. Upper road wheels had their rubber tires removed and were made into steel wheels, while the tank received cast metal idler wheels. 3,774 Ausf.H Panzer IVs were produced between April 1943 and July 1944, and it was eventually succeeded by the Ausf.J. The Tamiya model in 1/48 scale captures every detail and nuance of the real life subject thanks to extensive research of the full size vehicle.

1/35 Ger. Panther Ausf.D

€51.99

Article number: 300035345 Procuct: 1/35 Ger. Panther Ausf.D The latest addition to the 1/35 Military Miniature Series depicts the German Panther, a WWII AFV developed by Germany to combat the mighty Russian T-34. Given the importance of stopping the T-34 as the Russians turned the tide in WWII, the Panther was a priority and this was emphasized by armored warfare guru Heinz Guderian's role in the design process. The Panther packed a powerful L/70 7.5cm gun (rumored to have taken out a T-34 at 3km) and combined it with excellent mobility and a 55km/h top speed. Just as importantly, it made great use of T-34-inspired sloped armor, up to 80mm in places. As things turned out, development of the Panther was rushed as the German situation worsened, and this led to severe reliability problems in engagements such as the Battle of Kursk in July 1943. Despite that, it proved offensively and defensively highly capable. The Ausf.D was the initial variant of the Panther; 842 were manufactured between January and September 1943. About the Model • This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. • This completely newly-tooled kit captures the form of the Panther Ausf.D with sloped armor, and long 7.5cm gun. Tamiya designers studied a real Panther in the Netherlands to ensure stunning accuracy. • Ausf.D-specific features such as smoke dischargers and rear panel layout are authentically depicted. • Advanced slide molding techniques ensure that turret details are accurately rendered. • Belt type tracks give an effective finish and make for a smooth assembly process. • Commander torso figure plus full body crew figure included. 3 marking options include Battle of Kursk unit. • Three detail-up parts sets are available to further enhance the realism of your model.

1:48 Ger.Tank II Ausf.A/B/C F.C.

€24.99

Article number: 300032570 Product: 1:48 Ger.Tank II Ausf.A/B/C F.C. In the mid 1930s, the German military pushed the production of tanks. The Panzer I designed as a training tank, did not have the adequate performance, so a light tank was needed to full the gap until the Panzer III could be introduced. Therefore, the German Ordnance Department issued a request for a new training tank that could be used for combat. In the end, MAN was chosen in 1934 to produce the Panzer II, a compact 4.8m long, 2.2m wide design with a three man crew. The 8.9 ton tank featured a 2cm Kwk 30 L/55 cannon and 7.92mm machine gun in the turret, 15mm armor protection for turret and hull front, leaf spring suspension, and a 140hp Maybach HL 62 TRM engine matched with a ZF SSG46 transmission, which gave it a 40km/h top speed. The Ausf. A was produced from 1937, followed by the Ausf. B and C, which were difficult to distinguish from each other visually. About 1,100 Panzer tanks were produced by April 1940, and due to delays with the Panzer III, they were immediately issued as the Panzer divisions' main tank for the invasion of Poland in September 1939. Based on lessons learned on the battlefields of Poland and, in May 1940, France, improvements such as extra armor and a turret cupola were added, and the Panzer II went on to serve in North Africa and Russia in front line and liaison and reconnaissance duties until the end of 1943. Afterwards, they were used to police occupied territories and the chassis was also adapted for use as the basis for various self-propelled gun designs.

Article number: 300032554 Product: 1/48 WWII Ger. 20mm Flakvierling 38 (4) About the Flakvierling 38 Originally developed as a light anti-aircraft weapon for the Kriegs marine, the German army also adopted the 20mm cannon for use on land and was widely-used throughout WWII. To compensate for the cannons low rate of fire, 4 of these cannons were mounted together to create the Flakvierling 38. The mount featured collapsible seats, ammo cartridge racks, a three-legged base, and could be rotated via hand wheels, with the guns themselves fired via two foot pedals, each of which controlled a pair of diametrically opposed cannons. In basic form, the Flakvierling38 was loaded onto a 2-wheeled mount for towing to deployment points, but it was also fitted onto halftracks, tank chassis, ships, barges, and trains to provide close-range air defense against Allied fighter-bombers. About the Model High-quality 1/48 scale assembly model kit of the German Flakvierling 38 anti-aircraft gun. Quad-20mm cannons are linked to gunsight. Guns can be freely elevated/depressed and gun pedestal can be rotated to enable various firing positions. Article number: 300060751 Product: 1:72 Focke Wulf Fw 190 D-9 Following the successful entry of the Focke-Wulf Fw190 A series of fighter aircraft over the English channel during the autumn of 1941, the German RLM requested a high altitude version to complement the fighter fleet, and three projects were started. The Fw 190B used the B.M.W. 801 turbo-supercharged radial engine and a pressurized cockpit, but very few of these were built. The Fw190C was powered by a 1,750hp Daimler Benz DB603A in-line engine, of which three prototypes were built. The third high altitude project was based on the Focke Wulf Fw190A airframe and powered by a Junkers engine. The fuselage was lengthened to accommodate the V-12 cylinder, liquid cooled, 1,750hp Jumo 213 engine, and made its initial flight during the winter of 1941-42, Five further prototypes were produced, plus a small batch of Fw190 D-0s were completed from standard production Fw 190A-7 airframes. These pre-production aircraft were followed by the Fq-190D-1's which had the increased area vertical fin and rudder. There were no Fq190 D-2 through D-8 designations. The Fw-190D9 began production in June 1944, with early versions having the flat topped canopy, and from W.Nr 210001 onwards having the Galland hood (blown canopy). It went into combat with the III/JG 54 "Grunherz" (Green Hearts) in September 1944, at Achmer, Germany, as top cover for the new Messerschmitt Me262 jet fighters then entering service. This would make him the first Japanese World Champion since 1977. His closest rival, Loris Capirossi, was ahead in point standings going into this last race, but bad luck plagued him during the dynamic battle for the 250cc GP2 title. Although this was Harada's debut season for the World Grand Prix, he had been working closely with Yamaha for the last couple of seasons, perfecting the works TZM bike, which allowed him to win the 1992 All Japan Championship title. The 1993 Yamaha TZ250M used a 249cc liquid cooled V-twin cylinder engine capable of 94 horsepower. Its crankcase reed valve induction system was combined with an electronically controlled exhaust valve system. The highly sophisticated six-speed gear box used an electronic cut-out gear changing system that eliminated clutch operation and minimized racing stresses. Article number: 300024136 Product: 1:24 Volkswagen Beetle 1300 1966 Even in this age of sophistication, the popularity of the Volkswagen "Beetle" has not diminished. The original design dates back to the 1930"s when Dr. Ferdinand Porsche provided the design framework for the "People"s Car." Today, with more than 20 million units produced, the Volkswagen Beetle has become a symbol of mass-produced motorization, with no other vehicle exceeding this figure. Built upon the sturdy platform chassis is the amazingly reliable air cooled, flat-four cylinder engine. Suspension is four wheel independent for crisp handling and driving comfort. Although the onset of the Second World War greatly hindered Volkswagen"s marketing opportunities, it made a superb comeback shortly following the conflict, under the skillful guidance of Heinrich Nordhoff. Throughout its production life, the Volkswagen was continuously improved to meet modern automobile standards. An enlarged powerplant displacement and better visibility are two of the notable changes that enabled the Beetle to set standards for the compact car market, decade after decade. The 1966 Volkswagen model is regarded as the classic Beetle, one that retains the most of the original design traits, and it has become a collector"s item. Even today, more than half a century later, watching a nimble street bug is still a pleasant sight to behold, and its unmistakable shape will likely delight generations to come. Article number: 300035009 Product: 1/35 WWII PzKpfw. II Ausf.F/G (5) SK.121 In the morning of September 1, 1939, the German forces consisting of the 3rd, 4th, 8th, 10th and the 14th Armies invaded Poland all heading for Warsaw, its capital. This was the beginning of the 2nd World War that had shaken the whole world for six years and the Germans made a good show of their war efforts at the start with this violent surprise offensive by massed air forces and mechanized ground forces in close co-ordination, the so-called "Blitzkrieg". It was none other than the Pzkpfw 11 that had played the key role in this Blitzkrieg which started with the invasion of Poland to be followed by break-through of the Maginot-line 7 months later and ended with the surrender of France. In anticipation of the delay in production of the two main strength tanks of the Pzkpfw III and the Pzkpfw IV then under development, the Ordnance Department decided in 1934 to develop a new tank instead to fill the gap. It gave specifications of the proposed new tank to the following three companies - the Mann, the Krupp and the Henschel. The specifications envisioned a tank weighing less than 10 tons and armed with 2 cm and 7.92 mm machine guns, one each. Among the designs of the rivaling three companies presented, the one by the Mann was selected and the Mann in cooperation with the Daimler-Benz developed a first tank of the a1 type in 1935. When 25 tanks of the same type were produced, the tank was officially named, "Panzer Kampfwagen II". After the first 25, another 25 tanks of the a2 type and 50 of the a3 type were produced in succession by 1936. Tanks of these 3 types thus produced were equipped each with a 6-cylinder, 130HP, May-Bach HL37 engine and credited with a maximum speed of 40km/h. However, it was decried that the horse-power was not enough and the engine was replaced with a May-Bach HL-62 one of 140 HP. The frontal armour, too, was reinforced and a new tank

Tamiya now brings you this formidable fighter in the 1/48 scale, and with all the parts included in this kit you can choose to build either the R2 variant or the A-8. Of all the different variants, the A-8 armed with four 20mm cannon and two 13mm machine guns was the most widely produced. A sub-variant of the A-8 was the R2, which had two of the 20mm cannons replaced by more powerful 30mm guns and added armor protection for its role in attacking the giant 4-engined Allied bombers.

Article number: 300032573 Product: 1/48 Ger.Flakpanzer Möbelwagen Flak 43 In the latter half of World War II, the Wehrmacht, having lost air superiority to the Allies, rushed to develop anti-aircraft vehicles. One of these was the Möbelwagen, which was the first self-propelled anti-aircraft gun that utilized the Panzer IV chassis. The prototype, which was equipped with four 2cm Flak guns, was completed in December 1943 and the mass production version, which was equipped with a single, more effective 3.7cm Flak43 capable of firing 250 rounds per minute, was put in production in February 1944. The four large armor plates surrounding the superstructure of the vehicle could be lowered to 60° in anti-aircraft firing position and lowered completely to enable an unimpeded horizontal field of fire against ground targets. By March 1945, a total of 240 vehicles were produced, most of which were deployed to the Western front to defend against Allied fighter-bombers. About the Model • 1/35 scale plastic assembly model kit. • The unique design of the Möbelwagen with 3.7cm Flak43 has been realistically reproduced. • Armor plates may be assembled in one of three positions: raised, anti-aircraft firing position, and fully lowered. • Assembly-type tracks feature one-piece straight sections. • Weights inside the hull give the model greater heft. • Comes with a standing crew figure.

Article number: 300016025 Product: 1:6 Suzuki GSX1100S Katana 1980 One of the most famous motorcycle shows in the world, is held every two years in Cologne West Germany, and the 1980 show is sure to stand out as one of the most unforgettable. One reason was that Honda released their CX500 turbo for the first time, and the second is that Suzuki"s GSX1100S "Katana" (Japanese for sword) was unveiled. The Honda CX500 attracted attention for its advanced engine techniques and the Katana for its advanced and aggressive body styling, which broke from common traditional motorcycle styling. Although the Katana GSX1100S styling impressed the many thousands of viewers, almost everybody thought that it was just for show and the production model would be quite different. During the summer of 1981, Suzuki released the production Katana with almost exactly the same body styling seen at the Cologne show, with subtle improvements in the engine and running gear. The body styling is from the genius of Mr. Hans A. Muth of West Germany, who spent much time ensuring driver comfort in his design, and which proved out in many wind tunnel tests. The entire styling was derived from research on the best drivers position, and the rearward placed backsteps and unique tank styling were not done just for the pleasing jet age appearance. Large capacity fuel tank and small fairing were blended together for the best airflow around the rider and the bike. Although the bike is most noticable for its styling, every part in it is quality. Engine is an air-cooled, parallel 4 of 1075cc, using 16 valves. With the unique Suzuki TSCC (Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber) in the engine, it puts out 111 hp. This tremendous power transmits into a road speed of 230 k/h and its unique body styling deeps it stable even at these high speeds. Suzuki is shipping a 1000cc Katana GSX1000S tot he American market, and also a 750cc version to the European market as well. Requests from Japanese enthusiasts prompted Suzuki to also market a 750cc Katana GSX750S to their market

Article number: 300060750 Product 1:72 Ger. Messerschmitt Bf109E-3 Without a doubt, the Messerschmitt Bf109 can be clamed as the most famous and successful German aircraft from the WW2. It was the world´s most advanced fighter at that time of its debut in 1936, and remained as the standard fighter for the Luftwaffe throughout the conflict. Created by the brilliant designer Willi Messerschmitt, it had the smallest possible air frame built around the most powerful engine available. It also boasted many of the then innovated features such as an all metal stressed skin construction, retractable main landing gear. Automatic Handley-Page leading edge slats, etc. The Bf109 saw the first combat during the Spanish Civil War and fully demonstrated it exceptional maneuverability, inherited from its precedent Bf108 Taifun (Typhoon) multi-purpose sports plane. The Bf109 underwent numerous improvements throughout its carrier, and mass production of the E variant started late in 1939. Within one year, about 2,000 "E" aircraft were rolled out. Its excellent performance greatly contributed in the active service of German pilots at the Western Front and during the "Battle of Britain". The E-3 version used and improved Daimler-Benz DB601Aa engine capable of 1,100 h.p. output. This engine had provision for mounting a 20mm MG FF cannon on the crankcase and firing through propeller hub. The Messerschmitt Bf109E was one of the best fighters of the early WW2 period, on a par with the British Spitfire. Detailed Plastic Kit of model Messerschmitt Bf109E-3 in scale 1:72
