1:24 Ferrari F50

Article number: 300024296 Product: 1:24 Ferrari F50 During the Geneva, Switzerland Motor Show in March 1995, Ferrari showed their new F50. Packed with Ferrari's latest automotive technology, gleaned from their recent Formula-One racing expertises, the F50 was designed to be a "street-legal racing maching" in the truest sense of the word. This Ferrari's highly rigid center monocoque section was fabricated from hi-tech carbon fiber composites. The engine/gearbox unit is firmly bolted to this monocoque and works as a load-carrying element, just as on their F-1 racing machines. The normally aspirated 4.7 liter V-12 cylinder engine uses five valves per cylinder and yields an amazing 520 horsepower at 8,500rpm. The 6-speed synchromesh gearbox transmits this tremendous power smoothly and efficiently to the rear wheels. The F50's double wishbone suspension system is connected to the electronically controlled shock absorbers via pushrods, to provide optimum road holding performance. The Pininfarina designed body shell was purposely sculptured for excellent aerodynamics, yet retains Ferrari's traditional automotive grace. The chassis underside is completely flat, with upsweep at the rear end that acts as a diffuser. By using a removable roof, made from composite material, the car can be converted into a "Barchetta" (open-top) or "Berlinetta" (coupe). Ferrari's top models have all been destined to become true automotive legends and the F50 will be no exception.   Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

Ever since its maiden flight in July 1972, this record breaking Mach 2.5 fighter has been a yardstick for jet fighter design. 1:32 DeHavilland Mosquito FB MK.VI

Article number: 300060326 Product: 1:32 DeHavilland Mosquito FB MK.VI The "Wooden Wonder" makes an appearance in highly impressive 1/32 scale! That was the nickname given to the De Havilland Mosquito series of aircraft, an ingenious and beautiful design which saw the versatile airplane made almost entirely of wood. By the late 1930s, when design work on the Mosquito started, metal was the overwhelmingly favored medium. However, the Mosquito's designer foresaw that metal would become a precious resource in the probable war ahead; what was more, his highly lightweight wooden aircraft would be able to outrun heavier metal opponents. Constructed mainly from balsa wood sandwiched between sheets of birch, the Mosquito was originally designed as a weaponless bomber; once the armed forces and designers realized that the aircraft could withstand enemy fire even if it was caught, a number of variants were produced. The FB Mk.VI debuted in Spring 1943: this fighter-bomber variant packed four 7.7mm machine guns in the nose, plus four powerful 20mm autocannons and the ability to mount four 500lb bombs. Its outstanding speed and range ensured that the FB Mk.VI was used in a range of missions, including raids on important targets and infrastructure in the German homeland. It is often said that, until the advent of the Messerschmitt Me262, the German Luftwaffe did not have an adequate response to the "Mossie."     Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

Article number: 300060310 Product: 1:32 F-4E PHANTOM II EARLY PROD. About the McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom II Early Production The F-4E came into production as an improved version of the F-4C/D and was to be the most advanced model of the Phantom series. After elongating the fighter's nose and installing a more compact radar, the solid-state Westinghouse AN/APQ-120, the installation of a nose-mounted gun became possible and a 20mm M61A1 6 barrel Vulcan gun pod was employed. The Vulcan 20mm cannon, with its ammunition drum of approximately 640 rounds, was capable of firing 4000-6000 rounds a minute and proved reliable in air-to-ground and close quarters aerial combat. F-4E made its first flight in June 1967 and entered the rising conflict of the Vietnam War in November 1968 when the first F-4E's reached Korat in Thailand and joined up with the 469th Tactical Fighter Squadron. By the time of the cease-fire of 1973 the F-4E was credited with a total of 21 MiG kills, 5 brought down by gunfire alone. 1:32 F4U-1 Corsair "Birdcage"

Article number: 300060324 Product: 1:32 F4U-1 Corsair "Birdcage" The F4U-1 Corsair® was a truly unique aircraft, with a powerful 2,000hp engine and a massive 4m propeller, not to mention the highly characteristic inverted gullwings. In October of 1940, it was the first American fighter to achieve a speed of 400mph (around 640kph). Initial production models of the aircraft featured a striking canopy called the "Birdcage". The aircraft took part in operations from February 1943, and with its powerful 12.7mm machine guns proved to be a formidable opponent for the Japanese Zero Fighters. In order to capture the aircraft as accurately as possible, Tamiya designers not only inspected, measured and examined the real aircraft at five different museums across North America, they were also given access to Northrop-Grumman's blueprints. The result is a highly detailed and precise 1/32 scale model of the F4U-1 Corsair.

1:32 WWII North American P-51D Mustang

Article number: 300060322 Product: 1:32 WWII North American P-51D Mustang The P-51 Mustang is considered by many to be the best fighter aircraft of WWII. The P-51 Mustang came about when the British Purchasing Commission asked North American Aviation to produce the Curtiss P-40 for the RAF, but North American stated they could build something better. The P-51D is considered by many experts to be the definitive variant of the Mustang as it was the most widely produced. It featured a bubble canopy which gave the pilot superb all-round visibility as well as a heavier armament of six 12.7mm machine guns. Wing racks allowed the carriage of drop tanks to extend range or bombs for ground attack. P-51Ds were instrumental in helping the Allies gain air superiority over Europe, and after Germany's defeat, they continued their role as long-range escorts for B-29s attacking Japan. Many also saw service during the Korean War as fighter-bombers and a few even continued to serve with air forces of less developed nations until the 1980s.   Warning! They usually carried guns such as the Luger P08 and Walther P38, but often used MP40 machine guns to fight against enemies on the frontlines.   Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

1:35 French Med. Tank SOMUA S35

Article number: 300035344 Product: 1:35 French Med. Tank SOMUA S35 The SOMUA S35 was a French Cavalry tank of the Second World War. It was manufactured from 1936 until 1940 to equip armored divisions of the Cavalry. For its day it was a relatively agile medium-weight tank, superior in armor and armament to both its French and foreign competitors, such as the contemporary versions of the German Panzerkampfwagen III. It was constructed from well-sloped, mainly cast, armor sections, that however made it expensive to produce and time-consuming to maintain. While not given a chance to show its full effectiveness during the Battle of France in 1940, the SOMUA showed up strongly in a number of battles with German forces and indeed was used by German forces after the French defeat and even by the Allies after the liberation of France in 1944. It was among the first French tanks developed for use as a cavalry tank, as opposed to the previous infantry roles the tank was largely restricted to under French military doctrine. A cast metal body with armor up to 56mm thick gave excellent protection from German guns, and offensively it could rely on a powerful 47mm gun that repeatedly tore through German tanks. All in all, some 430 SOMUA S35s were produced. Detailed Plastic Kit of Model Franz. SOMUA S35 Mittl. Panzer in Scale 1:35

It was not until the KMm10 was born that the 8-ton half track was officially designated "Medium 8-ton Tractor (Sd.Kfz-7).
