1:35 WWII PzKpfw. II Ausf.F/G (5) SK.121

Article number: 300035009 Product: 1/35 WWII PzKpfw. II Ausf.F/G (5) SK.121 In the morning of September 1, 1939, the German forces consisting of the 3rd, 4th, 8th, 10th and the 14th Armies invaded Poland all heading for Warsaw, its capital. This was the beginning of the 2nd World War that had shaken the whole world for six years and the Germans made a good show of their war efforts at the start with this violent surprise offensive by massed air forces and mechanized ground forces in close co-ordination, the so-called "Blitzkrieg". It was none other than the Pzkpfw 11 that had played the key role in this Blitzkrieg which started with the invasion of Poland to be followed by break-through of the Maginot-line 7 months later and ended with the surrender of France. In anticipation of the delay in production of the two main strength tanks of the Pzkpfw III and the Pzkpfw IV then under development, the Ordnance Department decided in 1934 to develop a new tank instead to fill the gap. It gave specifications of the proposed new tank to the following three companies - the Mann, the Krupp and the Henschel. The specifications envisioned a tank weighing less than 10 tons and armed with 2 cm and 7.92 mm machine guns, one each. Among the designs of the rivaling three companies presented, the one by the Mann was selected and the Mann in cooperation with the Daimler-Benz developed a first tank of the a1 type in 1935. When 25 tanks of the same type were produced, the tank was officially named, "Panzer Kampfwagen II". After the first 25, another 25 tanks of the a2 type and 50 of the a3 type were produced in succession by 1936. Tanks of these 3 types thus produced were equipped each with a 6-cylinder, 130HP, May-Bach HL37 engine and credited with a maximum speed of 40km/h. However, it was decried that the horse-power was not enough and the engine was replaced with a May-Bach HL-62 one of 140 HP. The frontal armour, too, was reinforced and a new tank of the b type was produced. In 1937, the Pzkpfw II was further improv

1:35 WWII Sdkfz.251/1 Halft. Hanomag (5)

Article number: 300035020 Product: 1/35 WWII Sdkfz.251/1 Halbk. Hanomag (5) In 1938, the German Army decided to develop an armoured personnel carrier on the basis of the 3-ton half track (HL-KL-9p). Hanomag Hannoversch Machinenbau (AG) in Hannover was ordered to develop the running gear and Bussing-NAG in Berlin was to develop the superstructure to be armoured. Design work was hastened on the model of existing armoured cars and a prototype was completed at the end of 1938. The Germans tested the prototype in the Kumahsdorf Proving Ground and accepted it for mass production. Thus was born the Armoured Personnel Carrier Hanomag Sdkfz 251/1 which, we may safely say, was a synonym for the German mechanized corps that showed activity in all battlefields throughout the war.

1:35 WWII Sov. Heavy MBT JSU-152 (2)

Article number: 300035303 Product: 1:35 WWII Sov. Heavy MBT JSU-152 (2) The Russian army utilized the JS-2 heavy tank chassis to create the JSU-152 t, which opposed German tanks such as the Tiger I. The heavy self-propelled gun first entered into battle at Kursk in 1943. The JSU-152 featured improved armor protection and a simple superstructure, in which the ML-20S 152mm Howitzer resided. The Howitzer could fire the same ammunition as other guns. From up to 700m away, the Howitzer could provide direct fire and from up to 15km away the vehicle could provide indirect fire. The heavy shells could penetrate 120mm armor at a distance of 1km and destroy concrete walls up to 300m thick. In September 1943, mass production began on the JSU-152. In the summer of 1944, the JSU-152 entered its first official battle during Operation Bagration. The JSU-152 earned the nickname "Zveroboy (beast killer)" due to the vehicles ability to destroy Tiger I and Panther tanks. The JSU-152 also greatly contributed to the Russian victory at the Battle of Berlin. Over 4,075 JSU-152 were built during WWII and over 5,000 were produced after WWII and posed a threat to the West until the 1970s.

1:35 WWII US Tank T26E4 Super Pershing

Article number: 300035319 Product: 1:35 WWII US Tank T26E4 Super Pershing About the M26 Pershing Development of what would become the M26 Pershing began in 1942. It was to be a replacement for the M4 Sherman, which was the standard U.S. Army tank at the time, and features such as a lower profile hull and cast turret were incorporated during the development process of the various prototypes. This eventually culminated in the T26E1 prototype armed with the 90mm M3 gun, and from that stemmed the production version which was called the T26E3. The first T26E3s were sent to Europe in January 1944, and as they were deployed to the battlefield, they were re-designated M26. Although over 300 reached the theater before the end of the war, only 20 actually saw combat. In these limited actions, the M26s proved capable of defeating the German Panther and Tiger tanks they were designed to counter. About the T26E4 "Super Pershing" Although the standard M26 Pershing's 90mm M3 gun was powerful, it was not on par with the German King Tiger heavy tank's gun. Thus the T15E1 90mm gun, which was larger in caliber and fired a one-piece shell at a higher muzzle velocity, was developed. This gun was fitted onto a modified T26E1 prototype, and featured cylindrical stabilizers mounted on the turret to cope with the longer length of the gun barrel. This was the first "Super Pershing" and it was sent to Europe as well, where it was involved in just a handful of engagements against German tanks. The second "Super Pershing" was created by modifying a T26E3. This was designated T26E4 and was armed with a T15E2 90mm gun that fired a two-piece ammunition and a redesigned gun mount to eliminate the need for the stabilizers. This pre-production T26E4 "Super Pershing" was not sent to Europe. The modifications that were tested on this pre-production T26E4 were incorporated into the actual production-spec T26E4s, of which 25 were built before production was canceled

Article number: 300035093 Product: 1:35 Soviet Tank SU-122 The Russian T34 tank is known as a masterpiece. Based on the same chassis, the SU-122 featured a secured, wedge-shape fighting compartment, and was armed with a massive 122mm howitzer. The designation of SU-122 comes from the following; "SU" stands for Samokhodnaya Ustanovka (in Russian) meaning self-propelled and "122" stands for the armament. As Russian forces were forced to retreat from the relentless German blitzkrieg, large quantities of T34 and other tanks were produced in preparation of a counter attack. At the same time, Russian army urgently developed a new self-propelled gun, the SU-122. This tank featured a newly designed 122mm self-propelled howitzer and its production began in October 1942 at Tankograd in the Ural mountains. As the T34's chassis and its mass production system were applied to SU-122, the first test models were amazingly completed with great speed taking approximately one month. From there, the first lot of SU-122s were sent straight to the Leningrad front in January 1943. From July 1943, they saw action in the Battle of Kursk. The SU-122 with its 23 caliber 122mm howitzer fought with all its might against Panther and Tiger tanks and went on to superbly win a glorious victory. In following the success at Kursk, the SU-122 set the foundation on where other tanks such as the SU-85, SU-100, JSU-122, and JSU-152 were built upon. Modelers will enjoy recreating the powerful form of the SU-122 including its wedge-shaped form, 122mm howitzer, large gun base, and recoil tow-cover which now comes as a 1/35 scale model. This model was first released in 1977.   • 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 207mm. • Weld marks and gun mount cast metal texture are realistically rendered. • Choose to assemble driver’s and fighting compartment hatches in open or closed position. • Separate parts depict fuel drum stays. • Belt-type parts give an accurate and fuss-free recreation of the tracks. • Decals are including

Article number: 300035142 Product: 1:35 Sov. KV-1B 1940 Heavy MBT (1) Along with the T-34, the KV series of heavy tanks played a vital role for Soviet forces in WWII. This precision plastic model recreates the KV-1B variant, which was up-armored compared to the original KV-1, on account of fears about improved German weaponry. The bolt-fastened 25-35mm applique armor gave total armor thicknesses of 120mm on the turret front, 110mm on the turret sides and hull front, and 75-110mm on the hull sides. In combination with the imposing 76.2mm main gun and a 550hp diesel engine, this made the KV-1B (manufactured from July 1941) a daunting proposition for enemy units.   • 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 194mm, width: 96mm. • The form of the up-armored turret and hull is captured exquisitely, with the numerous bolts depicted accurately. • Model can be assembled with commander's hatch in open or closed position. • The main gun offers elevation and depression. • Steel road wheels are authentically rendered in plastic. • 3 markings options are included; with various Russian language slogans and markings: • Marking Option 1: Aug. 1941, Leningrad (suburb of Luga); Option 2: Summer, 1941; Option 3: Sept. 1941. • Comes with 1 standing crewman figure.

1:35 WWII Brit. BT. Matilda Mk.III/IV(3)

Article number: 300035300 Product: 1:35 WWII Brit. BT. Matilda Mk.III/IV(3) At the beginning of 1930, the British army made the decision to produce tanks for different roles, with production of the A12 "Matilda" beginning in 1936. At that time, the Matilda had the thickest armor at 60mm, came armed with a 2-pounder cannon, and had thick side skirts which protected the "Japanese type" bogies. Powered by two diesel engines, the Matilda had a top speed of 24km/hr which was deemed appropriate as it matched the walking speed of infantry. At the North African front, thanks to its impenetrable armor, the Matilda completely defeated the opposing Italian forces. Because of the strength of their armor, the Germans began to use 88mm guns which were the only weapons that could penetrate the Matilda. The Matilda was used throughout WWII and was also used by Soviet, Australian, and Allied forces under the Lend-Lease Act. •This is a 1/35 assembly kit model of the British Infantry Tank Matilda which saw action atthe North African Front during WWII. •Length: 174mm, Width: 72mm. •The Matilda's mechanical form has been accurately reproduced. •The number of parts required for the assembly of the gun turret, hull, and the complicated suspension has been minimized for ease of assembly. •Tall and short cupolas and two types of antennas are included in the kit. •Assembly and belt type tracks are included. •Full-size commander figure, as well as a loader and driver torso figures are included.(Total 3) •3 kinds of decals for the North African front are included. •The Matilda would look fantastic alongside other 1/35 vehicles from the North African front such as German Armored Car Sd.Kfz.223 (Item 35268), German Kubelwagen Type82 (Item 35238), German Armored Car Sd.Kfz.222 (Item 35286), Italian Medium TankCarro Armato M13/40 (Item 35296).   Warning!
